Civil War Weapons: Civil War Replicas: Civil Wear Guns

The US Civil War (1861–1865) was the major war between the United States (the "Union") and eleven Southern states which declared that they had a right to secession and formed the Confederate States of America, led by President Jefferson Davis. Chancellorsville, Pickett’s Charge at Gettysburg, Antietam – in hundreds of battles big and small from 1861 to 1865, Americans battled Americans for what they believed in. The Union, led by President Abraham Lincoln  who opposed the expansion of slavery into territories owned by the United States, rejected any right of secession. Fighting began on April 12, 1861, when Confederate forces attacked a United States (federal) military installation at Fort Sumter, South Carolina, the first state to secede from the union.

These ornamental replicas of Civil War accessories include Civil War era Guns, Rifles, Belt Buckles and also Civil War Bugles, Canteens, Swords and Civil War era Flasks. Most of our Civil War items are available in Confederate or Union versions. Every effort has been made to simulate the appearance and construction of the original Civil War piece in every possible way.

Purchasing agents for the Union and Confederacy began buying up every rifle they could find and shipping them back to American soldiers. American rifle and gun manufacturers including Sharps, Colt, Remington, and the United States armory at Springfield began quickly expanding weapon production to meet the demands of both sides. Whether you call it the Civil War, the War Between the States, or the War of Northern Aggression – no matter what side your ancestors may have fought on, all can agree that this conflict defined the path of America for Centuries to come. My Southern Heritage is proud to represent the rich history of this era with over 135 unique replica Civil War weapons and collectibles.
